Basketball Recap: Fruitvale Takes a Loss

Fruitvale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 76-31 loss at the hands of the Martins Mill Mustangs. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-15.

Jak Kinder continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Martins Mill, going 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and four steals. Ryder Marsh was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

Fruitvale's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Martins Mill, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 28-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Cross Roads the next time they take the court. Martins Mill will host Cross Roads at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while Fruitvale will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
