Baseball Recap: Livingston Lions vs. Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Livingston had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears. The win made it back-to-back victories for Livingston.

Kason Nelson tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't pitched less than five innings in six consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Jordan Husson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, a run, and a double. Another player making a difference was Jordan Bush, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Livingston has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-15 record this season. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-11.
