Cooper won the last time they faced Ryle and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cooper Jaguars enjoyed a cozy 58-39 win over the Ryle Raiders. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Raiders are ranked 82nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jones shot 42% from the field en route to 17 points and seven boards, while (Jay) Mcclain dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds. (Jay) Mcclain has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 20 times she's played.

Cooper is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points over those games. Ryle has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-22 record this season.

Cooper will take on Holy Cross at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Holy Cross has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Ryle, they will challenge Highlands at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Highlands will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Ryle surely won't give up without a fight.
