Football Recap: Workman Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Workman's offense. They were dealt a 70-0 loss at the hands of the Canyon Springs Cougars on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Lobos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 1052nd, while the Cougars are ranked 494th).

Angel Robles was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 113 yards and four touchdowns on only nine passes. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Eyan Quinones, who rushed for 56 yards and one score.

Workman's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Canyon Springs, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Workman didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-0 loss against Gabrielino on the 11th. As for Canyon Springs, they have also already played their next game, a 33-2 win against Westminster on the 11th.
