Baseball Recap: Trenton Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Trenton's offense. They came up short against the Collinsville Pirates on Tuesday, falling 14-0. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Trenton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Collinsville, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trenton will square off against Tom Bean at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tomcats have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Collinsville, they will take on Honey Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight.
