Recap: Seton Hall Prep Pirates vs. East Orange Campus Jaguars
The Seton Hall Prep Pirates's 21-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell 46-39 to East Orange Campus on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Seton Hall Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while East Orange Campus is ranked ninth).
Despite the loss, Seton Hall Prep saw an underclassman step up: Daniel Beazer scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Dylan Guzzardo was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two blocks.
Seton Hall Prep has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for East Orange Campus, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seton Hall Prep will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Morris Knolls at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. As for East Orange Campus, they will square off against Arts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
