Softball Recap: West Wendover Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

West Wendover was forced to take a big loss against they on Friday, they got the better of them on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 22-20 win over the Incline Highlanders. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wolverines as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Paola Rojas was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Miramontes, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI and three runs.

West Wendover's win bumped their record up to 7-18. As for Incline, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

West Wendover will have a chance to go back-to-back against Incline: the pair will be back at it again later today.
