Basketball Game Preview: Decatur Eisenhower Panthers vs. Lanphier Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Decatur Eisenhower Panthers challenge the Lanphier Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Decatur Eisenhower will be strutting in after a victory while Lanphier will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with 19 defeats in a row dating back to last season, Decatur Eisenhower turned things around against Chrisman two weeks ago. They managed a 46-42 win over the Cardinals.

Decatur Eisenhower found their leader in freshman Tatiana Ramey, who almost dropped a triple-double on 22 points, nine boards, and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ramey has scored all season. Kaleeya Hubbert was another key player, putting up seven points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Decatur Eisenhower smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Lanphier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against MacArthur, falling 72-19. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Decatur Eisenhower's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-13. As for Lanphier, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
