Recap: Canton Warriors vs. Austin Panthers
The Canton Warriors won the last time they faced the Austin Panthers, and things went their way on Friday too. Canton had just enough and edged Austin out 42-39.
Canton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Vroman, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 blocks. Talin Williams was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 13 rebounds.
Canton's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Austin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Canton will square off against Galeton at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Galeton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Wednesday. As for Austin, they will head out on the road to face off against Oswayo Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
