Volleyball Recap: McDowell Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous two meetings between McDowell and St. Stephens, and St. Stephens kept the tradition alive. The Titans fell just short of the Indians by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-1 loss two weeks ago.

Natalie Escamilla was the offensive standout of the contest as she had nine digs and four aces. Kendall Mohl was another key player, getting seven digs and two aces.

McDowell dropped their record down to 11-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for St. Stephens, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.

McDowell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Stephens, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Watauga on the 14th.
