Basketball Recap: St. Charles East Comes Up Short

St. Charles East suffered their biggest defeat since February 21st on Thursday. They came up short against the Brother Rice Crusaders, falling 67-44. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Crusaders are ranked first).

This is the second loss in a row for St. Charles East and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for Brother Rice, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

St. Charles East will square off against Marmion at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Brother Rice, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Maine South at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
