La Grange came tearing into Saturday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Zapata Hawks get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. Five seems to be a good number for the Leopards as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

La Grange saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylin Brawley, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Korey Bayless also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

La Grange hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most two strikeouts in three consecutive games.

La Grange's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Zapata, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8-1.

Looking ahead, La Grange will face off against Andrews at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Zapata, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Incarnate Word at 1:00 p.m.
