Volleyball Recap: Maloney Extends Winning Streak to Four

Maloney had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Rocky Hill Terriers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2021.

Maloney was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-9, 19-25, 25-7.

Their offense was headlined by Jenna Feitel and Greta Koscuk, who picked up ten kills apiece. They were helped by Alina Colon and Tessa Holmes, who contributed 11 assists each. Koscuk was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 14 aces.

Maloney's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Rocky Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.

Coming up, Maloney will head out on the road to take on Wethersfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rocky Hill, they will be playing at home against Wilcox RVT at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
