Basketball Game Preview: Prospect Knights vs. Waubonsie Valley Warriors

The Prospect Knights and the Waubonsie Valley Warriors will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Both teams are still undefeated after three games, but that won't be the case come Friday.

Prospect saw some tournament action on Thursday. They walked away with a 51-38 win over York.

Allison Linke went supernova, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 18 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Warnement, who posted six points in addition to four blocks and three steals.

Meanwhile, Waubonsie Valley won against Downers Grove South on Tuesday with 60 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Warriors came out on top against Glenbrook South by a score of 60-51.

Prospect's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Waubonsie Valley, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-0.

Prospect came up short against Waubonsie Valley when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 54-48. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
