League recap: Seawell breaks off league-leading run for Calaveras

Calaveras's Mike Seawell recorded the longest rushing play in Mother Lode this season in his game against Yosemite last week. Seawell's team beat the Badgers as he sprinted for 89 yards on the play and finished with 225 in all.

Calaveras was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to first in the league. Jason Weatherby's team defeated Yosemite 64-21 earlier in the week.

Wyatt Durham and Seawell gave the Redskins a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Teammate Connor Hamilton added to the ground attack by rushing for 111 yards.

Seawell was a passing and rushing force as the Redskins topped Kent Lincoln's team.

Seawell was the best running back in the league this week.

Durham put up the best numbers through the air as Calaveras bested the Badgers. He finished with a total of 2 completions for 12 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Seawell was a beast in the backfield as the Redskins topped Yosemite.

JT McCready was the best wideout in Mother Lode this week as Summerville lost to Mariposa County. McCready tallied 3 receptions for 87 yards. Austin McCready helped Summerville's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 34 yards.

6-foot-0 quarterback Colin Jacobs of Linden is the league leader in passing yards this season with 49. He has also thrown 2 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Emilio Pineda. The Argonaut star has 2 catches for 37 yards.

Amador took down Sierra Ridge/Rite of Passage 52-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
