Oxford Prep put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 19-4 margin over the Franklin Academy Patriots. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Griffins this season.

Addyson Faucette looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Makala Roberson, who went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kaylin Gooch, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Oxford Prep's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Franklin Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oxford Prep will challenge Falls Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Franklin Academy, they will face off against East Wake Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin Academy is facing East Wake Academy at the right time seeing as East Wake Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
