Basketball Game Preview: Stigler Panthers vs. Pocola Indians

Stigler is 2-8 against Pocola since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Stigler Panthers will take on the Pocola Indians at 7:30 p.m. Stigler will be strutting in after a win while Pocola will be coming in after a loss.

Stigler is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since January 20, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-46 win over Hartshorne. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Pocola unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Broken Bow by a score of 52-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Indians have suffered since December 13, 2024.

Pocola's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6. As for Stigler, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-12.

Stigler ended up a good deal behind Pocola in their previous meeting back in January, losing 70-55. Can Stigler avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
