Volleyball Game Preview: South Adams Starfires vs. Lakeland Lakers

After both having extra time off, the South Adams Starfires and the Lakeland Lakers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. South Adams is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.

South Adams is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They put the hurt on Boone Grove with a sharp 3-0 win.

South Adams found their leader in sophomore Charlee Bollenbacher, who had ten digs and one assist. Bollenbacher is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Meanwhile, Lakeland got the win against Jimtown on Saturday by a conclusive 3-0.

Lakeland's victory bumped their record up to 19-13. As for South Adams, their win bumped their record up to 26-8.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's contest: South Adams has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.5 aces per game. However, it's not like Lakeland struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
