Volleyball Recap: Northwest Whitfield Finds Playoff Glory Versus Lumpkin County + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Northwest Whitfield had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lumpkin County Indians, sneaking past 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bruins.

Northwest Whitfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 22-25, 26-24, 25-15, 15-6.

Paola Cuna had a dynamite game, getting 28 digs and two aces. Those 28 digs gave her a new career-high.

Northwest Whitfield's victory bumped their record up to 28-14. As for Lumpkin County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-18 record this season.
