Basketball Recap: Cheney Tech Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

Cheney Tech won the last time they faced Goodwin RVT, and Ayden Brookins did his part to make sure it happened again. The Cheney Tech Chargers really took it to the Goodwin RVT Gladiators for the full four quarters, racking up a 96-49 win thanks to Brookins, who went 8-for-16 on his way to 25 points in addition to five assists and three steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Cheney Tech has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.4 points over those games. Goodwin RVT has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Cheney Tech has already played their next contest, a 95-39 victory against Harvard Ellis Tech on the 11th. As for Goodwin RVT, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, an 84-75 win against Terryville on the 10th.
