Volleyball Game Preview: Cox Mill Chargers vs. North Stanly Comets

Cox Mill has won nine straight games at home, while North Stanly has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Chargers will welcome the Comets at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

On Thursday, Cox Mill got the win against Central Cabarrus by a conclusive 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-17, 25-11.

Alaina Walker was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had four digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last five contests. Zoe Williams also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, North Stanly made easy work of Gray Stone Day on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

North Stanly got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 32-30.

North Stanly's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Cox Mill, their victory bumped their record up to 16-0.
