Baseball Game Preview: Sunrise Christian Academy Buffaloes vs. Destiny Christian Wildcats

The Sunrise Christian Academy Buffaloes will take on the Destiny Christian Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

After dropping their season opener at home, Destiny Christian is headed out to face a Buffaloes team ready to give their home crowd a win. Sunrise Christian Academy came up short against Kansas City East Christian Academy on Thursday, falling 13-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Buffaloes in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

Sunrise Christian Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lincoln Brown, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Destiny Christian entered their tilt with Southwest Covenant on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Patriots.

Levi McCutchan made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since March 1st. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Destiny Christian: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise.

In other batting news, Racyn Hyden was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.
