Preview: Shenandoah Zeps vs. Southern Indians
After two games on the road, Shenandoah is heading back home. They will take on the Southern Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Monday, Shenandoah didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Warriors, but they still walked away with a 41-37 win.
Shenandoah got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brylee May out in front who scored ten points along with seven steals and six rebounds. May is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadence Noll, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Southern had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They came out on top against Heartland Christian by a score of 59-47. 59 seems to be a good number for Southern as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Shenandoah's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Southern, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5.
