Volleyball Recap: Arizona College Prep's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Chandler on Thursday, Arizona College Prep came back down to earth. The Knights fell just short of the Highland Hawks by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Reyna Jones paced Arizona College Prep's offense, picking up four kills. Jones got some help from Riley Thomson and her seven assists. Thomson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Highland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyler Smith, who had six aces. Another player making a difference was Camryn Thruston, who had six digs and two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Arizona College Prep fell to 2-1. As for Highland, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Arizona College Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Casteel on the 29th. As for Highland, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Westwood on the 29th.
