Basketball Recap: Savanna Piles Up the Points Against Paramount

Savanna posted their biggest win since February 1st on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 79-50 victory over the Paramount Pirates. With the Rebels ahead 49-23 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Savanna was led to victory by Branden Ellis and Paul Henderson. Ellis went 6 for 14 on his way to 22 points and four steals, while Henderson went 7 of 11 on his way to 19 points and five assists. What's more, Ellis also racked up two assists, the most he's had since back in January. Joachim Bikoula was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Savanna was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Savanna's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Paramount, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Valley Christian the next time they take the court. Paramount will head out to face Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Savanna will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
