Basketball Recap: Chester Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Chester, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They took down the Burney Raiders 52-33 on Friday. The Volcanoes pushed the score to 43-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Raiders cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the defeat, Burney had strong showings from Kyle Noah, who went 5 for 11 en route to 12 points, and Cort Covert, who posted ten points.

Chester's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Burney, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Chester has already played their next match (against CORE Butte), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Burney will challenge Surprise Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
