Softball Recap: Willamette Wolverines vs. South Medford Panthers
Willamette fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against South Medford on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent loss being a 10-4 defeat last Monday.
Jadynn Ireland spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Macy Rush made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Willamette's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for South Medford, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-7.
