Owen Valley and Cloverdale are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Patriots will take on the Clovers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Owen Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Owen Valley is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering West Vigo just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 11-1 to the Vikings.

Owen Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abree Wells, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Cloverdale didn't have quite enough to beat Bloomfield on Monday and fell 6-5.

Owen Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Cloverdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Owen Valley hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Cloverdale struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Owen Valley took their victory against Cloverdale in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
