Plattsmouth extends road winning streak to three

Recap: Plattsmouth Blue Devils vs. Louisville Lions

The Plattsmouth Blue Devils won the last time they faced the Louisville Lions, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Plattsmouth greeted the New Year with with a 44-25 victory over Louisville.

Plattsmouth can attribute much of their success to Stella Campin, who scored ten points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for her. Ashleigh Widick was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds.

Plattsmouth's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Louisville, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plattsmouth is on the road again on Friday and play against Elkhorn at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. Elkhorn presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Plattsmouth in Nebraska (Elkhorn is ranked 41st, while Plattsmouth is ranked 168th). As for Louisville, they will head out on the road to face off against Syracuse at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
