            Baseball Recap: Timothy Christian vs. Dunellen Destroyers        
        
		
        
        
            Timothy Christian had lost 12 straight at home dating back to last season, but  on Friday they dropped their record down to 0-14 to make it 13. They fell  5-2 to the Dunellen Destroyers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Dunellen this season,  with their most recent  defeat being a  17-4  loss  back in April.
As for Dunellen, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record  this season. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for they.
For Dunellen's part,  Joseph Reyes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   six  hits. Reyes has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in April.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Michael Dow, who  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  RBI,  and one  run.  Juanluis Rodriguez was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases and one  run.
