Basketball Recap: Scurry-Rosser Makes It 14 in a Row at Home

Scurry-Rosser won against Edgewood last Saturday with 49 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Scurry-Rosser Wildcats walked away with a 49-38 victory over the Ford Panthers. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Panthers are ranked 629th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Scurry-Rosser pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.1 points per game. As for Ford, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Scurry-Rosser Wildcats take on the Teague Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ford, they will venture away from home to take on Panther Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
