Basketball Game Preview: Washington-Marion Charging Indians vs. Barbe Buccaneers + How To Watch

The Washington-Marion Charging Indians will head out on the road to take on the Barbe Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Washington-Marion knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Barbe likes a good challenge.

On Saturday, Washington-Marion took their matchup with ease, bagging a 60-33 win over Marian.

Meanwhile, Barbe unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 85-78 to Vandebilt Catholic. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (61), the Buccaneers still had to take the loss.

Washington-Marion pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 61.8 points this season. As for Barbe, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.

Washington-Marion was able to grind out a solid victory over Barbe in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 58-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Charging Indians since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
