Soccer Recap: Fairview Comes Up Short

After flying high against East Hickman County last Thursday, Fairview came back down to earth. Fairview came up short against the Giles County Bobcats on Monday, falling 5-2. Fairview were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Giles County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2017.

Trent Burlison wasn't going to let Giles County walk away unscathed as he scored both of Fairview's goals, bringing his season total up to four goals.

Fairview's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Giles County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairview will challenge Greenbrier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairview is facing Greenbrier at the right time seeing as Greenbrier is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Giles County, they will take on Franklin Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
