First Flight won against Camden County  on Friday with 59  points and they decided to stick to that  point total again  on Saturday. The First Flight Nighthawks claimed a resounding  59-32 victory over the Holmes Aces. The Nighthawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten  contests by 25  points or more this season.
Leading First Flight to victory were  Maddy Beatson and  Abby Miles.  Beatson  went 9-for-18  on her way to 29  points and six  steals, while  Miles  went 7-for-15  en route to 20 points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals. Miles continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Summer Stevens, who  posted  no  points in addition to eight  assists and four  steals.
 First Flight  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 11  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least ten  offensive rebounds in 36 consecutive  games  dating back to last season.
 Despite the loss, Holmes still got an impressive performance from   Chloe Chappell, who  almost  dropped  a double-double with 17 points and nine  boards. That was a full 53.1% of Holmes' points, marking the eighth time in a row she's   scored  more than a third of the team's points.  Janyrah Basnight was another key player,  putting up five  points and six  rebounds.
First Flight pushed their record up to 12-2 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points over those games. As for Holmes, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matches,  which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record  this season.
 First Flight wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  55-49  victory against Hertford County on the 4th. As for Holmes, they have also  already played their next game,  a  46-44  defeat against Currituck County on the 4th.
