Softball Game Preview: Richton Rebels vs. Bay Springs Bulldogs

The Richton Rebels will take on the Bay Springs Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Thursday, Richton came up short against Hattiesburg and fell 9-4. The Rebels have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Meanwhile, Bay Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Lake, falling 11-5. One positive for the Bulldogs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Bay Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Richton, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Everything went Richton's way against Bay Springs in their previous meeting last Thursday, as Richton made off with a 15-2 victory. Will Richton repeat their success, or does Bay Springs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
