Football Recap: Oliver Springs Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Liam Boeke and Jaxon Jett + How To Watch

Oliver Springs was the 28-20 winner over Midway when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bobcats took a 32-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green Wave on Thursday. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oliver Springs' loss came despite strong showings from Jaxon Jett and Liam Boeke. Jett gained 138 total yards, while Boeke threw for 259 yards and four touchdowns.

Oliver Springs' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Midway, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Oliver Springs and Midway will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Bobcats see the field they'll take on Harriman at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for Midway, their break will end when they face Oakdale at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
