Basketball Recap: Lehighton Takes a Loss

Lehighton was the 65-62 winner over Palmerton when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lehighton Indians fell just short of the Palmerton Blue Bombers by a score of 60-58 on Wednesday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Indians came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 194th, while the Blue Bombers are ranked 469th).

Lehighton has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-5 record this season. As for Palmerton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

Lehighton has already played their next matchup (against Northwestern Lehigh), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Palmerton will take on Jim Thorpe at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
