Football Game Preview: Hugo Buffaloes vs. Kiefer Trojans

The Hugo Buffaloes will challenge the Kiefer Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hugo will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

Hugo is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 44-6 victory over Okmulgee. The Buffaloes' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Meanwhile, Kiefer got themselves on the board against Prague on Friday, but Prague never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Red Devils 55-0. That looming 55-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Trojans yet this season.

Kiefer is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.3 points over those games. As for Hugo, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-3.

Hugo couldn't quite finish off Kiefer when the teams last played back in October of 2024 and fell 30-28. Thankfully for the Buffaloes, Bradley Breland (who rushed for 174 yards and two scores) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
