Softball Recap: Craigmont Takes a Loss

Craigmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Whitehaven Tigers, falling 14-4. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked the Chiefs' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Craigmont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Whitehaven, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.

Craigmont will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cordova at 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Whitehaven, they will face off against Southwind at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.5 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
