 After a string of four wins, Florence's good fortune finally ran out  on Tuesday. They suffered a  rough 18-1 loss at the hands of the Gilbert Christian Knights. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Florence in their matchups with Gilbert Christian: they've now lost four in a row.
 Florence saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Tanner Gammons, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-2.
 On Gilbert Christian's side,  Jeremy Kuiper and  Sam Webb did most of the damage at the plate:  Kuiper  went 2-for-4 with a  home run, six  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Webb  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. Kuiper has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  home run the last four times he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nate Nielsen, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Florence's loss dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Gilbert Christian, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record  this season.
 Florence will be playing in front of their home fans against Globe at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Globe has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.93  runs per game on average), something Florence will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Gilbert Christian, they will head out on the road to  take on  Pusch Ridge Christian Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.9  runs per game this season.
