Football Recap: Neshaminy Piles Up the Points Against Council Rock North

Neshaminy won the last time they faced Council Rock North and things went their way on Thursday too. The Skins blew past the Indians, posting a 41-0 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Skins' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Indians are ranked 357th).

Neshaminy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Eckart, who threw for 233 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also rushed for 50 yards. 83 of Eckart's passing yards were hauled in by Brock Williams, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Neshaminy's defense and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Owen Swartz and Corey Keenoy-Webb, who racked up four sacks between them.

Neshaminy has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 points this season. As for Council Rock North, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Neshaminy will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Cheltenham at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. As for Council Rock North, they are taking a road trip to face off against Central Bucks East at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th.
