Basketball Recap: St. John Extends Winning Streak to Two

St. John won against North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland] on Monday with 77 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. The St. John Woodchucks beat the North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland/Munich/Starkweather] Bearcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 77-67. For the Woodchucks, this counts as revenge for the 71-45 victory the Bearcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for St. John and bumps their season record up to 7-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points over those games. As for North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland/Munich/Starkweather], they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Coming up, St. John is taking a road trip to face off against Langdon at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th. As for North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland/Munich/Starkweather], they will challenge North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina] at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th.
