Volleyball Recap: Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Eagles vs. Wesleyan Wolves
Mt. Bethel Christian Academy was the 2-0 winner over Wesleyan when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves on Thursday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Sam Karel paced Mt. Bethel Christian Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Karel really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 14. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Bree Benich, each putting up three.
Wesleyan was led to victory by Allie Godfrey and Emily Miller. Godfrey had 22 digs and three aces, while Miller had 16 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Godfrey has posted since back in August.
Mt. Bethel Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 28-20. As for Wesleyan, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-11 record this season.
