Basketball Recap: Ellensburg Picks Up 23rd Straight Win at Home

Ellensburg put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Ephrata Tigers 74-14. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Tigers are ranked 302nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ellensburg's victory was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Ephrata, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Ellensburg and Othello will meet in a canine-themed contest at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ellensburg knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully Othello likes a good challenge. As for Ephrata, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against East Valley at 5:30 p.m.
