Camarillo is still undefeated this season after their contest against Oxnard on Saturday, but Oxnard came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Scorpions came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 13-12 W against the Yellowjackets. Those 13 points were actually the fewest the Scorpions have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Camarillo was led to victory by MarliRose Demate and Jaeah Blaney. Demate picked up 90 receiving yards and one score, while Blaney threw for 170 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Demate was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 61 yards.

Camarillo's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Oxnard, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Camarillo has already played their next game, a 53-6 win against Thousand Oaks on the 2nd. As for Oxnard, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 61-0 victory against Del Sol on the 26th.
