Basketball Recap: Wellington Skates Past Clearview with Ease

Wellington's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They blew past the Clearview Clippers 53-23. With the Dukes ahead 36-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

It was another big night for Brooke Lehmkuhl, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kalynne Pickering, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Wellington is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Clearview, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Wellington will take on Keystone at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keystone will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Wellington surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clearview, they will face off against Vermilion at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Clearview is facing Vermilion at the right time seeing as Vermilion is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
