Softball Game Preview: Ridgeview Christian Crusaders vs. Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs

The Ridgeview Christian Crusaders will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ridgeview Christian is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They lost 15-5 to Temple Christian back in March. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Meanwhile, Westover Christian Academy came up short against Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy on Monday, falling 15-2. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westover Christian Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylee Chromy, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Chromy is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

Ridgeview Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Westover Christian Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2023, sneaking past 11-10. Do the Crusaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
