Volleyball Recap: 8:28 Gladiators Comes Up Short

8:28 Gladiators was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sunrise Christian Academy Buffaloes. The Gladiator were not able to make up for their loss to the Buffaloes from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

8:28 Gladiators took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-18, 19-25, 23-25, 25-20, 17-15.

8:28 Gladiators' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Sunrise Christian Academy, they moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, 8:28 Gladiators will face off against Wichita HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sunrise Christian Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Argonia on October 14.
