Football Recap: Salisbury Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Salisbury kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 21-0 to the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets. The Hornets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Yellow Jackets from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Isaiah Foxx threw for 91 yards on eight of 21 attempts. Jaylin Johnson was his top target, picking up 56 receiving yards. On the ground, Darrius Jefferies rushed for 46 yards.

Forest Hills was led to victory by Jasiah Carlton and Josiah Oxendine. Carlton rushed for 62 yards and one score, while Oxendine threw for 118 yards and one TD. What's more, Oxendine racked up 77.5 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

Looking ahead, Salisbury will host North Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Forest Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
