Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mitchell). They blew past the Crothersville Tigers 70-42 on Saturday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Bluejackets with their most commanding win of the season.

Despite the defeat, Crothersville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kendra Kelshaw posted 12 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Kelshaw a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Rayleigh Lewis, who put up nine points and five assists.

Mitchell's win bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Crothersville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Mitchell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 83-22 defeat against Austin on the 21st. As for Crothersville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 90-8 loss against Trinity Lutheran on the 21st.
